Finnish Association on Cardiovascular Nursing (Suomen Kardiologiset Hoitajat = SKH) was founded in the autumn of 1992. Currently there are approximately 900 members.
The purpose of SKH is to provide a forum for communication, professional development and national / international representation for all nurses in Finland who are involved in the care of of cardiovascular patients.
This is done by promoting excellence in cardiovascular nursing, and care of these patients. SKH also wants to promote the sharing of knowledge between all nursing staff and other disciplines, and is working closely with associated organisations, both nationally and internationally.
